Wood, Stone, Fire, & Bone~ Forest Theater 2004.
This show explored the world of the living elements as they dance and move through eternity. Rocks are slowly put in there place, Trees are moved, the wind blows and shapes mountains.
We witness in the beginning the birth of fire to wind and wood and watch as it grows and learns of its power.
Ultimately, fire is drawn to the element water who is both beautiful and devastatingly powerful. The attraction is strong yet dangerous especially for the young and naive fire. Every time they touch the element smoke or steam appears and drives the two apart.
Meanwhile, the Shnifflers, (big nosed comic relief) appear periodically to lighten and provide some reflection on the folly of humankind. The show also features the marionettes of Victoria Ralston who brings to life a mystical phoenix and living flowers.
